Wintry-Queen
In the quiet ambience, she tiptoes
And never looks into our weal or woes
Autumn's sister, she's the Wintry-Queen
She walks along when do snows rhyme
She's never alone but struts with her legion-
Chilly-wind, mists and blizzards that she carries on
And reaches at the doors of weal
Where lovers' in passion sizzle and themselves in embrace seal
And the rich basks on harvests and under quilts dreams
And moves out very often with his ever sustaining scheme
Alas! The poor like dogs shivers in the garden next-door
Where the downy flakes hiss and the blizzards roar
And the birds only purr with consolation for their chicks
Since their hopes lie buried under the porcelain heaps.
